Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia usually follows the main fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris. This year, designers Yulia and Alisa Ruban, Alena Akhmadullina, Alexander Arutyunov attended the fashion event. We drew attention to the world beauty trends, which have been well adapted on the Moscow catwalks.

Wet hair effect

One of the most popular trends on the MBFW Russia catwalks. Deliberately grunge styling, as if the models forgot to wash their hair, or a slight wet effect, appropriate in everyday life. The stylists of the Ruban show parted their hair in a straight part, applying styling products only to the crown of the head – along the length of the strands they look very natural. A good option for hairstyles “on the second day” or when there is no time to get ready.

Hairpins

The main fashion trend this spring. If you don’t have a dozen of colored hairpins, like in childhood, it’s time to improve. At the Alena Akhmadullina show, all models wore massive, bright invisibility. A basic rule of thumb: the more accessories you place next to each other and the more visible they are, the better!

Deep parting

This technique has one obvious plus: a deep parting always adds volume to the hair. For this reason, it is good for any haircut: be it a trendy bob or long hair. At MBFW Russia, stylists followed both the classic scheme, pulling their hair back and straightening it with a styler, and went all out, doing hairstyles in the style of the 80s.

Makeup graphics

An excellent example is the Ruban show, which sisters Julia and Alisa Ruban thought out to the smallest detail. For example, against the background of general makeup in a nude style, the graphics on the faces of the models stand out, which echoes the prints of fabrics. Angles at 90° make-up artists painted directly on the forehead of the models.

Metallic shadows

Another practical trend. The makeup artists of the Alexander Arutyunov show took a simple technique to highlight the corners of the eyes and made it more expressive through the use of metallic shadows in a rich shade. This is the only accent on the face, so the eyes instantly stand out even against the background of a bright image. Use when you haven’t got enough sleep or heading to a party right after a long day at work. After all, all that is needed is a pencil in any metallic shade lost in the bowels of the cosmetic bag.
