Lavender shades, as a symbol of tenderness and faith in the best; wide arrows to the temples to stand out from the crowd; radiant skin that gives freshness to the image – have collected these and other makeup trends, which cannot be avoided this fall.

Lilac shadows

We are accustomed to the fact that warm shades are in fashion in autumn – beige, brick, brown. But at the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi show we saw lavender smoky eyes on the models. And this make-up looked so fresh and at the same time tender that it is simply impossible not to add it to the “must do” list of the upcoming season. In addition, in the psychology of color, all derivatives of lilac are a symbol of fantasy and belief in the best (you must admit, it is very important in our time).

Makeup artists Preen by Thornton Bregazzi suggest using lavender shadows on matte skin, making the eyes the main focus of makeup.

Wide arrows

We first saw this trend on Instagram Gigi Hadid. Then it turned out that wide arrows almost to the temples were painted for her before the Versace fall-winter 2020/21 show. Gigi had blue arrows, while other models in the show had red, hot pink, orange. Of course, in everyday life such a make-up cannot be done, but for an evening publication, almost not?

We suggest drawing arrows, like on the Versace show, with shadows in the stick. The main thing is to decide on the shade. But the brighter the better.

Black eyeliner

We saw another interesting eye makeup at the Dior show – black eyeliner on the upper and lower eyelash contour with shading. At the same time, shading should be only in the center; there is no need to lead shadows from the edge of the eyelid to the temples. You can also draw a clear outline in the inner corner of the eye. An important point: the area under the eyes should be as flat as possible, no swelling and dark circles!

Makeup “tone on tone”

Monochrome or tone-on-tone makeup is a feature of this fall. An important rule is to use similar shades in the makeup of the eyes and lips. By the way, Chanel even came out with a collection in perfectly matching colors (see here). And successful examples on models can be seen at the shows of Missoni, Vivienne Westwood and Simone Rocha.

Glowing skin

The “glass skin” or “radiant skin” trend came from the previous season. And it looks especially good on “clean” skin without makeup, like on the Balmain and Ermanno Scervino shows. Another option is a combination of highlighter and red lipstick, as at the Oscar de la Renta show.

Dark lip gloss

The shine also turns into lip makeup. To do this, we leave matte lipsticks (they have been with us for too long) and, recalling the early 2000s, we switch to lip glosses. And this fall in dark shades – wine, cherry, purple and even black (if there is a reason). An option for the most daring – at Salvatore Ferragamo with blue eyeliner.
