Editor Natalia Kapitsa told what drugs from the pharmacy are always in her cosmetic bag and how they help to maintain beauty and health.

“Levomikol”

You can buy this ointment at every pharmacy. It is prescribed as a combined antimicrobial agent for external use. It easily penetrates into the deep layers of the skin without damaging cell membranes, stimulating the process of tissue regeneration. I use it pointwise as an SOS remedy for breakouts. But no more than two days and very rarely – the composition contains antibiotics that can disrupt the skin microbiome. In addition, the remedy is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to the components of the drug. Levomikol is also effective for cracked heels.

To get a lasting positive result, the product must be mixed with the care cream and “Panthenol”

Zinc ointment

I have very problematic skin. From time to time, “uninvited guests” appear on it, with whom it is difficult to say goodbye. If you need to quickly put your face in order, I apply zinc ointment to problem areas at night. It dries out, stops the growth of pathogens, reduces inflammation, and neutralizes redness.

For owners of dry and very sensitive skin, the ointment will not work – it can dry out.

Boro cream

It is an antiseptic with a wide range of applications. It can be used for wound healing, superficial burns, insect bites. It consists almost entirely of ingredients of natural origin. The cream also works well for herpes and dermatitis. I also apply it on very dry areas of the skin: elbows and heels.

Baby petroleum jelly

This tool is indispensable in cases when lips start to crack and you need to maintain moisture levels. It creates an invisible film that prevents transepidermal moisture loss. In addition, the herbal extracts included in the composition have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, soothe and eliminate peeling.
