Today I want to “huddle” two topics at once: “How not to get better in Turkey, where everything is included” and “My vacation in Fethiye”.

This is my first stay in Fethiye. Not everyone knows about such an area and a resort city in southwestern Turkey. And in vain, you would definitely like it there.

As soon as I found out that Fethiye is located at the foot of the mountains covered with pine and cedar forests, I was on fire to spend my entire vacation there. Therefore, a week later we found ourselves at the Dalaman airport, which is located 40 kilometers from the city.

For me, Fethiye is such a small paradise with 285 sunny days a year. The season starts at the end of March and lasts until the end of November.

According to the blog tradition, every year I “report” to you in swimsuits for the diet “Don’t eat after 6 pm“. There is still controversy about how safe it is. Therefore, I do not call on anyone, and even more so I do not convince of the coolness of this method of losing weight. For me, this is a way of life, no matter how trite it may sound, the results of which you can see in the photo below.

First rule: come to dinner first

It will not be difficult to guess who was the first in line before the opening of the restaurant. Unlike other hotel guests, my husband and I never showed up at 21 o’clock in the evening. Our dinner started at 19h. and ended in half an hour. We do not know how to sit for hours at the table, because we treat food intake as a way of recharging, nothing more.

Second rule: do not make a cult out of food

By the way, it is the cult of food that is to blame for our unhealthy attitude towards food. What do you think? We attach too much importance to the feasts that accompany us from childhood. What is the New Year’s worth with bowls of salad …

And as soon as you change your attitude towards food, your figure begins to change. It is very important to change your views on food before you are held hostage by the food.


The power of inhibitions

For me it was easy at the very beginning and not very much in between. Sometimes I wanted to lie down on the couch in the evening and watch a movie to the crunch of popcorn with Coca-Cola in my hands. But I managed to cope with fleeting impulses, as soon as I thought: you want it only because it seems forbidden to you. And indeed, as soon as you realized this, the desire disappeared.



Of course, this is a difficult and long process. It takes willpower to change your habits. But I have great news for you: Willpower is only required in the first few months. Afterwards, you will get so used to the new lifestyle that you will not want to eat after 6 pm. And then you will stop wondering how not to get better in Turkey, where everything is included!)
