Clarins Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Matte Eyeshadow Smoothing & Long-Lasting was not creamy at all. How it happened, you will learn from the review.
Here’s what the manufacturer writes: “Clarins Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow is a creamy texture with a completely matte finish.”
I had no doubt that this is really so, because when the manufacturer writes “creamy”, it means it’s creamy shadows and nothing else.
Therefore, when I bought Clarins Ombre Matte eyeshadow in # 03 Taupe, I was surprised by one of their features.
But first, let’s discuss the color. Pay attention to the shade name “Taupe”. This is the very exceptional color that has a gray-brown undertone that creates a natural shadow.
You can find a similar color in any other brands, even budget ones.
It is with them that I highlight the fold of the eyelid or apply it on the entire eyelid to create a quick daytime makeup without unnecessary movements.
As far as the “amazing property” is concerned, it is a texture that can be attributed to powdery rather than creamy.
These are the most common dry shadows in a puck! What prevented the manufacturer from writing as it is without a postscript “cream” – I do not know. But the feeling that I was deceived remained.
There are no conditions for applying Clarins Ombre Matte shadows.
You can apply shadows:
- brush / sponge
- on the “bare” eyelid
- with or without base
All this does not affect the quality of eye makeup in any way!
In my opinion, this is an amazing product for those who do not like to bother with application, shading, or result. “All inclusive” is the slogan of the Clarins Ombre Matte eyeshadow.
Output: I was left with a double impression, I’m kind of glad that I bought these shadows, but the incorrect definition of the product in the cream category left a residue. It misleads the buyer and it is wrong.
